28 Carroll County Historical Society The Algonquin Mill Farm is the pioneer village setting for the annual Algonquin Mill Fall Festival, held the second full weekend of October each year. Located four miles south of Carrollton, Ohio on St. Rt. 332, the Festival features a steam-powered flour mill, steam-powered sawmill and many select craftsmen. Other sights to see at the farm include the arboretum, one-room schoolhouse, railroad station and several restored log cabins. Many home-made foods are available too! The McCook House Museum, located on the square in Carrollton, was home to the fighting McCook family of Civil War fame. The museum is a must for Civil War enthusiasts.
